If you applied directly to the Consulate General of Russia in Bonn for a Russian international passport, a separate passport-collection session is scheduled in Berlin. The Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Germany will issue ready documents on 10 October 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00. This notice concerns only applicants whose passport applications were submitted directly in Bonn, as well as the legal representatives collecting passports for eligible children.
Who can collect a passport in Berlin
The collection session is intended for people who applied for a Russian international passport directly at the Russian Consulate General in Bonn. It is not a general passport service for all applicants in Germany. Before making travel plans, confirm that your own passport is ready using the application number shown on the receipt issued when your documents were accepted.
The collection will take place at Behrenstraße 66, 10117 Berlin. A Russian international passport is the travel document used by Russian citizens for travel abroad; it should not be confused with a Russian internal passport, which may be used as identification in certain collection situations described by the Consular Section.
Appointment and timing
Collection is scheduled for 10 October 2026 between 09:00 and 13:00. You must book an appointment in advance through berlin.kdmid.ru. The notice does not state an appointment deadline, the number of available slots, or the procedure for collecting a passport after this date. Check the booking system before applying for a slot.
Do not assume that a ready passport can be collected without an appointment: the announced Berlin collection requires prior online booking. The notice also does not provide information about another person collecting an adult applicant’s passport. An adult applicant should therefore plan to attend in person with the required identification documents.
Documents for an adult applicant
An adult applicant must collect the passport personally. Bring the passport being replaced, or, if you applied for a second passport, the passport that remains valid during the second-passport application process. These documents allow the Consular Section to verify the applicant at the time of issue.
If neither of those passports is available, bring your Russian internal passport or another identity document. The published information does not list further acceptable identity documents or explain how an alternative document will be assessed. If your circumstances are unusual, contact the Consular Section before travelling to Berlin at infokonsulat@russische-botschaft.de.
Collecting a child’s passport
A minor’s passport is collected by the legal representative named in the application. A legal representative is the parent or other person legally authorised to act for the child. The representative should bring the child’s birth certificate, the child’s passport if the child has one, and the representative’s own passport.
A child aged 14 or older must attend the collection appointment in person. Children under 14 do not need to travel to Berlin for passport collection. The notice does not specify what to do if the legal representative named in the application cannot attend, so this should be clarified with the Consular Section before the appointment.
What to check before travelling
First, use the application number from your acceptance receipt to check whether the passport is ready. Only after confirming readiness should you reserve an appointment through berlin.kdmid.ru. Check the date, time and Berlin address carefully, and make sure the person attending is the applicant or, for a child, the legal representative stated in the application.
This announcement concerns collection of ready Russian international passports, not a Russian visa, entry permission, border documents or migration registration in Russia. It does not state any passport fees, processing periods, citizenship requirements or rules for filing a new application. For questions connected with this specific collection session, use the Consular Section’s published email address.
