GENERAL INFORMATION
A Russian electronic visa (e-visa) is an official entry permit issued online. It is linked to the foreign national’s passport and replaces the traditional visa sticker. After approval, the e-visa is sent by email and must be presented at the border either printed out or shown on a mobile device.
At present, the Russian electronic visa is available to citizens of 64 countries. It allows one-time entry and travel across most of Russia, except restricted areas.
Entry to and exit from Russia with an electronic visa are possible through most major airports, seaports, and land border crossings (car and pedestrian). The full list of approved border checkpoints is available here.
